About Human Birth- (Which I've just seen) First Child today

no problem with that.
they are mostly loving families but today i experianced the birth of my son.. the emotions of my wife... the pain... the fear... the hope combined with the joy of the birth and seeing my wife reaction when she held the baby was well balanced.. .

by morloc ini occasionally pop through here to catch up on the latest, but this time i'm going to pop my own post on here.. some of you internet oldsters may even remember this.
my first experience on the internet regarding discussions about jehovah's witnesses and the watchtower took place on a now-obscure usenet group, before i eventually stumbled across hourglass2.. during those days, there was a poster who went by the name "prominent bethelite," an otherwise anonymous individual whom i remember most for an extensive, exhaustive compilation of date-oriented remarks, predictions, and expectations by the watchtower organization down through the decades of its history.. it became known as "the list" and it's definitely lengthy... but a fascination look at the abundance of errant statements made through the watchtower's history.. if you're curious, it's been available for a long time on hourglass2's site, and can be seen using the link provided below.. the list, compiled by prominent bethelite (1999).

Detroit International Convention, June 6-8 - IS the public invited?

she told me they were announcing that people were not booking their hotels fast enough, and "we don't want to make the jw's look bad!
she told me about a promotional video they all watched, full of propaganda about the ford field house and all the arrangements that had been made for transportation and parking, and the city of detroit.

Anyone can go in. Anyone.
When they talk about being a "delegate" to an International Convention, they are talking about planning this a year ago, to state what foreign country you want to go to, etc. Some in the USA mainland applied last year to be International Delegates to Hawaii. Too many wanted to go so the overflow group, are invited to, I believe Detroit or maybe it was to Atlanta, or Houston, Texas.
Those who applied to be Int'l delegates, representing WT, had to meet a strict criteria. But if you were accepted, and paid the price, you don't have to bring your lunch. They will provide a brown bag lunch for you. They will also pick you up at your hotel by bus and will return you to your hotel at the end of the day.

Faithful Witness... Yes. We know you will not be progressing, but that is not the point, or how your "studies" will possibly be presented on a circuit assembly or District Convention, program.
Like Blondie ^^^ noted in the above about her hubby's study.
JW's are scraping the bottom of the barrel when it comes to "great" " encouraging " experiences.
I have no doubt but your pioneer "Lady" who "studies" with you is at least thinking about submitting "her" experience to her circuit overseer.
The spin will be on however the circuit overseer and the still in District Overseer want to play it to the clapclapclapclapclapclap etc. drone crowd.
Unbeknowst to you, your "study" with Miss K could be one of the highlighted experiences at the DC. lol
It is however the CO and DO want it.

As regards Miss K having a Bible study outside of her congregations boundaries, ah, I don't know how she and her Circuit Overseer will swing her possibly forthcoming interview at the next circuit assembly, with you, not living in her congp .
If her CO is used to using her as the model pioneer in the circuit, they will swing something. Miss K would not want you in the audience though, because between her and the CO they will rewrite history to help cheer on the WT drone troops.

It is possible.
In that case she definately would not want you there to hear how she has used WT Bible aids to teach you the Bible.

The CO visit this week he says" In August..."
by James Jackson inup until 5 years ago, the co used to work up their own parts for specfic congregations in their circuits.
everything is up to script, in other words, every co in the country are givings the same talks in the local congregations they visit.
what got me to cringe is when he said at the meeting, trying to encourage everyone to pioneer this august; he said :" you know this october it will be 100 years since gods kingdom began ruling, remember what happen when joshua told the israelites to march around jericho on the seventh day, and what happened when they let out a great war cry?
